THIS POSITION IS FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
ANTICIPATED START DATE IS AUGUST 2026
Paraeducators assigned to the Early Childhood program will work with 3-5 year old children in a learning and social environment. Duties include assisting in the classroom, breakfast and lunch set up/clean up, facilitating learning, play and self-help activities, and assisting teachers in implementation of Individual Education Programs for children below age five who have verified disabilities. Paraeducators are assigned non-teaching duties which include a wide variety of activities.
These positions will support the morning program, work schedule of 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Candidate must meet requirements of State Rule 11, which states at least 12 semester credit hours in early childhood/child development or the equivalent in prior training or experience. Associate Degree in Early Child Development preferred. A candidate who does not meet these requirements may be considered. At time of hire, a condition of employment is to complete 6 hours via training or experience during the first year of employment; the other 6 hours must be met by the end of the 2nd year of employment. Must be 19 years of age and meet State of NE licensing requirements including being CPR certified and hold a First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain and maintain).
2026-2027 Salary is $21.30/hour.
