Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and the ability to operate various manual machines effectively. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the capability to read blueprints and technical drawings. The Manual Machinist will play a crucial role in fabricating parts and components that meet our high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy.
- Fabricate parts according to specifications while maintaining tight tolerances.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams for CAM programming and design improvements.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and perform basic repairs as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and/or CAD software is preferred.
- Familiarity with CAM programming techniques is a plus.
- Experience with Fanuc controls is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, including fabrication techniques.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
