As a Truck Team Member, you’ll drive a roll-off dumpster truck providing dumpster rental services to residential and commercial customers while providing the best customer service.
The responsibility of the Driver / Team Member is to follow policies and procedures along with sound business practices that will enable company growth. The Driver / Team Member will work closely with their supervisor and customers to support all sales initiatives and to achieve expectations.
Responsibilities
- Transport roll-off containers to job sites and waste facilities.
- Marketing activities (delivering marketing materials and making sales calls to businesses - with opportunity for commission)
- Inspect vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work sites and retain fuel receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a can-do attitude throughout day
- Enjoy field work with unique daily challenges, both physical and mental
- Treat everybody with whom you interact with kindness and respect, including clients, neighbors, partners, waste management facilities workers and the general public.
- Educate clients on services, pricing and environmental impact
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the company dress policy
- Prevent property damage by safely maneuvering the truck at all times
Skills/Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication
- Proven work experience as a commercial driver
- Knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Valid drivers license with no at fault accidents within the past 5 years or traffic violations within the past 5 years
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Punctual, honest, and good work ethics are a must
Pay: From $800.00 per week
