Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development tailored to toddlers and preschoolers
- Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction
- Support children’s emotional well-being through effective behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
- Conduct activities that promote early literacy education, math skills, physical development, and overall childhood growth
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to monitor each child's progress and address individual needs, including special education or early intervention requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, developmental milestones, and compliance with mandated reporting laws
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings is essential
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques
- Experience in curriculum development for early childhood education programs such as Montessori or other pedagogies is preferred
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy instruction, and standardized testing for early learners is advantageous
- Proven ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs, including those requiring special education or behavioral support
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
- Previous experience in daycare or private school environments enhances your candidacy for this role
