About the Belt Program
The Belt Program is iCode’s signature, year-long after-school curriculum. Modeled after martial arts, students “level up” through a series of belts, each representing mastery of new concepts and tools. Each weekly session blends:
- Technical Skills: Experience in computing languages such as Scratch, HTML or Python plus C++
- Soft Skills: Communication, creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance
Students participate in:
- Weekly lessons and hands-on projects
- Monthly sprints focused on real-world challenges
- Progress reports to parents
- A graduation ceremony at the end of the academic year
