Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items following established recipes and food safety standards.
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with precision and integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation surfaces, seating areas, and equipment.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Ensure compliance with food handling regulations, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring product freshness, and noting maintenance needs for equipment.
Experience
- Prior barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred; a passion for coffee culture is a plus!
- Demonstrated ability to operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS confidently.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and excellent communication abilities.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and giving accurate change.
- Experience in food preparation or food handling within a café or retail environment is advantageous.
- Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail in food safety and cleanliness standards.
