Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a relaxed environment. As the Café Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our café runs smoothly, maintaining high standards of food quality and service, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Serving hours are Monday-Friday 11:00am-1:00pm. No weekends.
Approximately 16 paid holidays per year.
Duties
- Lead and manage café operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills in hospitality, food preparation, and customer service.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and controlling waste to maximize profitability.
- Handle cash management duties, including daily cash reconciliation and ensuring accurate cash handling procedures are followed.
- Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while maintaining labor cost efficiency.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and conflict resolution.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on guest experiences to enhance satisfaction.
- Consult with cafe team to provide monthly menu.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or as an assistant manager in a café or similar establishment.
- Strong skills in training development and staff training to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary standards is preferred.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and financial management within a café setting.
- A passion for hospitality with a commitment to creating memorable experiences for guests.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must pass background check and drug test.
