Interpreter
Duties:
-Looking for on-site interpreters to assist with parent/teacher conferences , IEP meetings and student success team meetings throughout the school year
- Provide interpretation services to facilitate communication between individuals who speak different languages
- Interpret spoken language in real-time during meetings, conferences, interviews, and other events
- Ensure accuracy and clarity of interpretation by actively listening and conveying messages accurately
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality while interpreting sensitive or confidential information
- Adapt interpretation style and tone to match the cultural context and preferences of the participants
- Use specialized vocabulary and terminology when interpreting in specific fields such as education, medical, or technical settings
Experience:
- Fluency in at least two languages, including proficiency in both oral and written communication
- Strong knowledge of linguistic principles, grammar, vocabulary, and syntax in both languages
- Excellent listening and comprehension skills to accurately interpret spoken language in real-time
- Ability to quickly analyze and process information to provide accurate interpretation
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness to effectively navigate cross-cultural communication
- Previous experience as an interpreter is preferred but not required
