We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine inspections to ensure quality at various stages of production. In addition, provide complete and accurate documentation.
- Support production by auditing parts in process
- Document and analyze data collected, inspection reports and other associated documents as required by the Quality Manager
- Interpretation of and ensuring compliance to customer specifications and drawing requirements are key to be successful in this role, as well as conformance to PTI’s specifications and procedures
- Support the procedure for control of nonconforming product
- Analyze and evaluate inspection results using statistical methods
- Team member of Corrective Action/RCA. Actively assisting to solve various quality issues related to internal and external non-conformances and supplier issues
- Supports processing RMA’s, containment activities and processing SCAR’s and NCR’s
- Collaborate with other QC Technicians for first piece, in-process and final inspection tasks by priority
- Use of various metrology tools such as CMM operation, optical comparator, micro-hite, caliper, micrometer, thread gages, pin gages, etc
- Performs other duties as directed or assigned by the Quality Manager
Required Skills:
- Strong mechanical/surface plate inspection skills is a MUST
- Must have thorough working knowledge in drawing interpretation, 3rd angle projection, GD&T standards
- lexibility to adapt to changing inspection priorities and working in a fast-paced environment
- 3 years of experience in a Quality Inspection role within a manufacturing setting
- MUST be detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem Solving Capability – analytical thinker
- Computer Skills – MS Office, Outlook
- Strong Data Entry Skills
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100
- 1-3 years of experience using various Metrology tools/gages
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
