Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Retail Sales Associate / Receptionist to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, strong communication with the customers' requests and groomers needs, checking in/out grooming clients, and ensuring the smooth operation of the store front. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to create a welcoming environment for all customers. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stock levels
- Stock shelves and ensure products are properly labeled and available
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and perform cash handling duties
- Assist with phone inquiries, provide information, and schedule appointments if needed
- Supervise or assist in supervising other team members when required
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to perform POS transactions efficiently and accurately
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, product demos, and upselling techniques is advantageous
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or evenings if needed
