Description:
3 Axis Inc. designs and fabricates displays, architectural ornamentation and interactive exhibits. We are looking for a Fabricator / Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a production woodworking or sign fabrication environment, be detail oriented, and dependable. The role of a Fabricator / Installer is to construct these items to the specifications provided by the project designer and project manager. This involves setting up and operating equipment; verifying dimensions; assembling and installing components. This role also assists with finishing.
Key Responsiblilties:
- Fabricate and assemble custom exhibits and displays based on blueprints, design drawings, and specifications.
- Install fabricated items in both active construction sites and client occupied finished spaces.
- Prep items for finishing work
- Operate and maintain woodworking equipment, such as saws, sanders, drills, and dust collectors.
- Ensure the final product meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and functionality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Keeps supplies ready by checking stock; anticipating needs; requesting items be ordered; stocking items
- Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Skills:
- Previous experience in a wood shop, sign shop, or exhibit fabrication environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship with the ability to work on custom and intricate projects.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Knowledge of woodworking tools, finishing techniques, and various materials.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- This work requires good corrected vision, hearing, working off ladders, stooping, kneeling, reaching and ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in client facing situations such as deliveries and installations.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to engage with clients and represent the company well
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
