Duration: 24 months contract with a possibility of extension
Shift Details: 1st shift – 8 am to 4:30 pm
Pay Rate: $20-24/hr.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Production Assembly Technician to support the assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical assemblies used in drone-based agricultural sensor systems, including cameras and stabilizing gimbals. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronics manufacturing, production assembly, soldering, cable assembly, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electro-mechanical and electronic assembly of production components.
- Complete box build, cable assembly, wiring, and system integration.
- Perform soldering, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and repair of assemblies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Support production schedule planning and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Document inspection and test results accurately.
- Assist engineering with production documentation and design updates.
- Support quality assurance processes and continuous process improvements.
- Perform equipment diagnostics, fault investigation, and repairs.
- Ensure production of high-quality, defect-free products.
- Maintain adequate material inventory to support production.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics or a related technical field OR a minimum of 2 years of relevant production/manufacturing experience.
- Experience with electro-mechanical or electronics assembly.
- Hands-on experience with box build, cable assembly/cable making, wiring, and soldering.
- Experience with testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and repair of electronic or electro-mechanical products.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to obtain FAA Part 107 Drone Certification within three months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with drone, camera, optical, or sensor assemblies.
- Experience with CCA programming.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Experience with PTC Creo or other 3D CAD software.
- Quality Assurance and manufacturing documentation experience.
Work Environment
- Approximately 30% of the workday is spent standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional travel within a 30-mile radius may be required using a personal vehicle.
