Overview
We are seeking a passionate and reliable Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate loves working with children, has strong classroom management skills, and is excited to share their love of dance in a positive, structured environment. This role involves teaching ballet, tap, and jazz across multiple age groups and skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging dance classes for students of various ages and abilities
- Create lesson plans that promote technique, confidence, and skill progression
- Provide constructive, encouraging feedback to help students grow
- Maintain strong classroom and behavior management
- Adapt teaching methods to meet different learning styles and needs
- Collaborate with staff on recitals, performances, and studio events
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings
- Knowledge of dance techniques including ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to tailor instruction for diverse learners
- Dance education certification is a plus
- Experience in special education, tutoring, childcare, preschool, or similar settings is a plus
Classes You May Teach
- Combination Pre-School /Kindergarten /1st Grade
An energetic and engaging class combining ballet and tap. Students build on foundational skills while learning more complex steps and rhythms at a faster pace. Focus areas include strength, flexibility, coordination, and basic technique in both styles.
This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, dependable, and passionate about helping young dancers thrive.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
