Summary: We’re seeking a dependable, caring teacher who loves children and reflects the love of Christ through their work. The ideal candidate will provide age-appropriate learning experiences, encourage creativity, and help children develop a strong foundation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage classroom behavior by promoting positive social interactions
- Monitor the safety and well being of all children in your care
- Maintain consistent communication and collaboration with parents and caregivers
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Actively engage with children indoors and outdoors
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required (CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days (On the job training available)
- Strong communication (verbal and written), patience, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and supports the mission and statement of faith of The Ark Church
- Experience working with young children in a child care or preschool setting and knowledge of child development and early learning best practices is preferred
