The After 26 Depot Café is a nonprofit restaurant dedicated to providing employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities and cognitive impairments. We serve breakfast and lunch daily and cater special events throughout the community. We pride ourselves on quality food, a warm environment, and a mission that makes a difference.
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Line Cook to join our small but passionate kitchen team. This position plays a key role in preparing and serving meals while maintaining a clean, efficient, and collaborative kitchen environment. If you're an early riser with a team-oriented mindset and a love for food, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Support food preparation for catering and special events.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Work efficiently in a small team setting, assisting with prep, cleaning, and service as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous line cook experience required (breakfast cooking experience a plus).
- SERV Safe certification preferred.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and available for early morning shifts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
- A passion for supporting a mission-driven workplace.
