Join Our Team: Loss Prevention Manager at The Godfrey Hotel
The Godfrey Hotel is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Director of Security and Loss Prevention to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and security of our premises, staff, and guests. This position requires strong leadership, a proactive approach to conflict management, and expertise in surveillance, emergency response, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
- Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
- Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and respond promptly to accidents.
- Contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required.
- Assist guests and employees during emergency situations.
- Plan and coordinate quarterly fire drills, active shooter simulation's with DPD.
- Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, security threats, or other incidents.
- Defuse guest or employee disturbances and escort unwelcome persons from the property without disrupting operations.
- Handle interruptions and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
- Document incidents thoroughly through reports and maintain confidentiality of all related records.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
- Respond to scenes of vehicle accidents, thefts, and other emergencies.
- Complete shift summaries and daily activity reports to ensure proper documentation.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining the safety of employees, guests, and property assets.
- Oversee hotel key lock system. Perform audits, communicate to hotel leadership any discrepancies.
Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Able to lead a team of 10 or more security personal.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members and external partners.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide exceptional service with genuine appreciation.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting objects (up to 50 lbs independently and over 75 lbs with assistance) and navigating confined or uneven spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in security, law enforcement or a related field.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict management are highly desirable.
