Independent Contractor (1099) | On-Call | Event-Based Opportunity
Chicago Integrated Health is seeking polished, dependable, and personable Licensed Massage Therapists to join our On-Call Event Wellness Team as independent contractors. This opportunity is ideal for massage therapists looking for flexible supplemental income through corporate wellness events, private functions, community engagements, and special wellness activations.
Our Event Wellness Team delivers professional chair massage services designed to reduce stress, promote relaxation, and create memorable wellness experiences for attendees. In addition to providing exceptional massage services, team members help increase awareness of Chicago Integrated Health by sharing brochures and informational wellness materials with interested participants during events.
As an On-Call Event Wellness Massage Therapist, you will provide professional chair massage services at scheduled wellness events while representing the organization with professionalism, warmth, and excellent customer service.
This is an on-call, event-based independent contractor opportunity, not a regularly scheduled weekly position. Work opportunities are offered based on booked events and contractor availability.
Assignments may be communicated weeks in advance whenever possible; however, because some clients request services on short notice, there may be occasions where event opportunities are offered the same week of the event. We make every effort to provide advance notice as early as possible.
Contractors may accept or decline opportunities based on their availability.
Event Pay Rates
1-Hour Events: $100 flat rate
2-Hour Events: $60 per hour
3+ Hour Events: $55 per hour
Compensation terms will be finalized during contractor onboarding.
Provide professional chair massage services at corporate and special events
Create a welcoming, calming, and professional wellness experience for event guests
Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and excellent customer service
Distribute brochures, wellness materials, and informational resources provided by Chicago Integrated Health to interested participants
Represent Chicago Integrated Health professionally during public-facing events
Set up and break down massage equipment as needed
Follow sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards
Communicate professionally regarding event availability and participation
Maintain active licensure, insurance coverage, and required professional credentials
Required
Active Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) license in good standing
Current professional liability insurance
Ability and willingness to list Chicago Integrated Health as Additional Insured on your liability policy
Reliable transportation
Ability to travel to event locations
Strong interpersonal communication and professionalism
Ability to work independently in event settings
Physical ability to safely perform chair massage services for scheduled event durations
Must be eligible to work as an Independent Contractor (1099)
Preferred
Previous chair massage experience
Experience in corporate wellness events, expos, or community wellness programs
Flexible weekday and occasional weekend availability
Comfortable interacting with guests in a wellness education setting
