Job Summary

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items with precision while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. This is an opportunity to grow within a team that values craftsmanship, accountability, and a commitment to better food.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute menu items according to Herban Market recipes and standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation
- Maintain a strong understanding of our ingredients, with an emphasis on organic and clean sourcing practices
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures to uphold kitchen and health standards
- Assist with daily prep including chopping, portioning, marinating, and assembling ingredients efficiently
- Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and service-ready at all times
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate execution during service
- Support catering, production, and special projects as needed
- Communicate clearly with team members to maintain a smooth and professional kitchen environment
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or professional kitchen preferred
- Strong knife skills and a solid foundation in basic cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper kitchen practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
