Heavy Equipment Operator
Are you a dependable and self motivated individual with great communication skills? Hemmelgarn Services is currently looking for a heavy equipment operator to join our team! As heavy equipment operator, you are responsible for safely operating various heavy equipment that perform the spreading and compaction of construction and demolition material as well as moving dirt, gravel, and concrete. Equipment includes landfill compactor, trackhoes/excavators, bulldozers, skid loaders, etc...
Hours for this position are flexible but typically Monday through Friday 7am to 4:30pm and every other Saturday 7am to 12pm or 4- 10 hour days. Starting compensation is $18 and up per hour based on experience and qualifications.

What do we require?
· Minimum 2 years’ experience operating compactor, excavator, backhoe, dozer, and off-road truck or similar experience and ability to operate equipment safely
· Must be able and willing to train on other landfill equipment as necessary
· Ability to work in conditions with exposure to weather elements
What are the duties?
· Perform efficient safe operation of compactors, bulldozers, graders, excavators, backhoes, front end loaders, wheel loaders, off road dump trucks, and other equipment
· Conduct pre- and post-trip inspection on equipment and complete necessary forms
· Perform routine maintenance on equipment
· Inspect and monitor all loads carefully- ensure material is being put in correct place.
· Manually sort/process inbound loads.
