Title: Operations Supervisor
Shift: 2nd shift 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm M - F
Department: Vitaquest Technology
Reports To: Plant Manager
Position Purpose and Objectives
Supervise day-to-day functions of manufacturing rooms including preparation, operation, disassembly, cleaning & sanitization of fluid bed processing equipment.
Essential Job Functions
Must follow all GMP’s and SOP’s relevant to the position.
Responsible to proactively initiate work releases and batch records.
Ensures all product weights are properly recorded in the batch records.
Ensure all operators are accurately following the batch records.
Ensure all operators properly use all processing equipment.
Ensures all operators maintain a safe and neat working environment.
Ensure all operators maintain proper sanitation techniques for cleaning machines and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Be able to read, understand, and apply the information contained in the product documentation/specification applicable to their operation.
Demonstrates a high level of responsibility and knowledge of job function.
Exhibits ability to learn and apply newly learned skills.
Exhibits good listening and comprehension skills.
Displays problem solving skills and willingness to make decisions.
Maintain the department’s quality and safety standards.
Be able to train and monitor the performance of their subordinate personnel.
Certified Forklift Operator.
Under certain circumstances, as identified by the company, perform those duties of an operator in their absence.
Supervisory Responsibility
Several operators per shift.
Working Conditions
Dynamic production environment.
Fast paced and dusty environment with high noise levels.
This is a hands-on position working with the operators.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent, some college a plus.
Can train and lead subordinate personnel.
Good communication, math, and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs (20% of time)
Some travel is required between VQ facilities
Success Factors
Must have team mentality, able to follow management directions, work with minimum supervision.
Fluency in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Manufacturing management: 4 years (Preferred)
- GMP: 4 years (Preferred)
- Staff training: 4 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Forklift Certification (Preferred)
