Position Summary
Nema Enclosures is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Polisher to join our production team. This position is responsible for polishing, sanding, buffing, and finishing stainless steel, aluminum, and sheet metal enclosure components to meet company quality standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works safely, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Polish stainless steel, aluminum, and sheet metal components using hand tools and polishing equipment
- Sand, grind, and buff surfaces to achieve required finishes
- Remove scratches, weld marks, discoloration, and imperfections from metal surfaces
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and appearance standards are met
- Operate polishing tools, grinders, buffers, and related production equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Work closely with fabrication, welding, and assembly departments to meet production schedules
- Assist with material handling and movement of parts as needed
- Perform other production-related duties assigned by supervisors
Qualifications
- Previous sheet metal polishing, grinding, or metal finishing experience preferred
- Experience working with stainless steel and aluminum is a plus
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of metal finishing techniques and surface finishes
- Ability to read basic work instructions and production documents
- Experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday – Friday 6:00-6:30pm
- Saturday 6:00 - 12:00pm
