We are seeking an experienced Electrical Service Technician who thrives on troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working with a small, collaborative team to deliver top-tier service to our customers. The right candidate is skilled in both commercial and residential service, communicates well with clients, and enjoys a variety of work each day.
Position Overview
As an Electrical Service Technician, you will:
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings
- Diagnose faults in wiring, panels, transformers, lighting, controls, motors, and related equipment
- Inspect and test electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and required repairs
- Install and upgrade panels, services, masts, and EV chargers
- Represent the company with professionalism, providing clear communication and excellent customer service both on-site and by phone
- Respond to both emergency service calls and scheduled appointments
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with NEC and local codes/inspection requirements
- Collaborate with clients, inspectors, suppliers, and teammates to complete projects successfully
- Use mobile dispatch/project management technology and maintain detailed service records
- Maintain a stocked, clean, and safe company vehicle
Minimum Qualifications
- Required: 3+ years electrical experience (including at least 1 year residential service and 1 year commercial service)
- Preferred: 1+ year service technician experience (diagnosing, servicing, repairing electrical equipment in the field)
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, NEC, and local codes
- Proficiency with electrical hand tools and testing instruments (multimeter, megger, clamp meter, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; able to pass background and drug tests
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple service calls
- Excellent communication skills and customer-facing professionalism
- Comfortable working in varied conditions (indoor/outdoor, rooftops, crawl spaces, diverse weather)
- Positive, can-do, self-starter attitude
Working Conditions
- Daily travel within El Paso County, Teller County, Metro Denver, and Pueblo (company van + gas card provided)
- Standard availability 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings, overnight, or weekend call-outs
- Must provide personal hand tools and work boots (company provides specialty tools, PPE, and branded apparel)
