American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level III NICU night shift position in Austin, TX, requiring at least 2 years of NICU experience and NRP Advanced certification.

Level III Neonatal ICU (NICU) in an acute care hospital setting
-
65-bed unit with a staff of 200+ including charge nurses, team leads, transport nurses, RNs, respiratory therapists, and unit assistants
-
Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 4:1 depending on acuity
-
Equipment includes isolettes, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and breast pumps
-
EMR systems used: Meditech and CPN
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
4 weekend shifts per scheduling period required
-
On-call required
-
Active TX or Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)

NRP Advanced 9th Edition certification (American Academy of Pediatrics) required

Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
-
2 years of Level IV NICU experience strongly preferred

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Teamwork and a positive, adaptable attitude are key traits for success on this unit

Navy scrubs required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Unit policies and guidelines are reviewed during on-unit orientation
