We are seeking a shop assistant to help our welding and assembly teams with material prep and trailer assembly. This is an entry level with on the job training. This role has a pay range of $16-$18. This position has the ability after one year to promote to assembly which has a pay range of $19-$26.
Day Shift:
- Monday to Thursday (frequent mandatory overtime on Fridays and sometimes Saturdays)
- 6am-4pm
Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure and cut raw materials using the appropriate saw
- Take directive to team lead/ shop supervisor
- Manage time spent on specific tasks
- Clean-up work area at end of every day
- Follow safety procedures and wear proper PPE
Qualifications:
- Ability to read a tape measure quickly and accurately (must be able to pass measuring test in one week)
- Ability to handle physical workload & lift 50lbs
- Ability to work on a ladder or at heights
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Compensation:
Pay will start at $16+/ DOE
After the completion of your 90 day probationary period you will be eligible for:
