Duties
- Install, test, and troubleshoot Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) in diverse settings, including commercial buildings, stadiums, and outdoor venues
- Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas during installations and maintenance
- Perform fiber splicing and cabling to establish reliable connections within telecommunication networks
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams to accurately execute system layouts
- Conduct field service activities including system upgrades, repairs, and routine inspections of wireless infrastructure
- Use hand tools and power tools to install low voltage wiring, electrical components, and network cabling (Ethernet, LAN)
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure adherence to safety standards while climbing structures or working at heights
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including system configurations, test results, and troubleshooting steps
- DC power experience required
Skills
- Proven experience in field service operations within telecommunication or related industries
- Strong knowledge of fiber splicing, cabling techniques, and low voltage electrical systems
- Skilled in computer networking concepts such as LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet, WAN (Wide Area Network), and telephony systems
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including bucket trucks safely and efficiently
- Construction experience with a focus on telecommunications infrastructure installation
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical diagrams, and network infrastructure layouts
- Climbing ability combined with knowledge of safety protocols for working at heights or in confined spaces
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing devices
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure components relevant to wireless systems deployment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues quickly
