Duties

- Foster a nurturing environment that supports child welfare, emotional well-being, and social skills through positive behavior management strategies
- Conduct assessments of childhood development to monitor progress and inform individualized lesson planning
- Manage classroom activities effectively to ensure safety, engagement, and smooth daily routines in accordance with childcare standards and classroom management best practices
- Collaborate with families, specialists in special education and early intervention programs to support each child's unique needs
- Incorporate age-appropriate teaching techniques that promote early literacy skills, numeracy, and physical development
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and behavioral observations while ensuring compliance with standardized testing protocols when applicable
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles including toddler care, preschool experience, and childhood development
- Strong curriculum development skills with the ability to design innovative lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Proven classroom management expertise to create a positive learning environment conducive to growth and exploration
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities, including those requiring special education or early intervention services
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and specialists in child welfare and tutoring
- Familiarity with classroom experience in daycare or private school settings along with understanding of standardized testing procedures
