Job Description
- Making removals from the place of death to the facility as needed
- Assisting with Visitations, Memorial and Funeral Services
- Responsible for Visitation and Chapel set-up
- Assisting with dressing and casketing remains
- Receiving and setting up casketed remains
- Delivering family items, such as clothing, jewelry and flowers and ensuring proper signatures are obtained.
- Administrative functions as needed
- Responsible for facility vehicle logs and maintenance
- Errands as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Management
- Care for deceased in a respectful manner while performing all the tasks involved in the cremation process
- Receive remains and ensure all documentation is complete
- Strict adherence to all professional, municipal, state/provincial and federal licensing authority regulations applicable to the cremation of human remains
- Promote a safe work environment by being aware of and practicing universal precautions and adopting general principles of safe conduct
- Conveys facts and information clearly in written and spoken communications
- Shares viewpoints and information openly and listens attentively to others’ ideas and suggestions
- Communicates in a timely and effective manner with manager
- Ability to deal with privileged information in a confidential manner
Qualifications, Experience & Physical Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent,
- Ability to meet daily deadlines
- Computer Literate
- Good organizational, communication and customer service skills
- Detail oriented and conscientious
- Self starter
- The ability to lift 50+lbs.
- Ability to Multi-task
- Caring and Compassionate Person
- Must have clean driving record with valid driver’s license.
Must be able to adhere to on-call schedule.
Job Type: Full-time
