Make Ready Repairs LLC is a licensed Texas repair and maintenance company serving rental homes and property managers across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. We handle make-ready turns, plumbing, painting, trash-outs, and general property repairs. We also operate under the DallasPlumber.com and DFW Home Maintenance brands.
About the Role
We are hiring three full-time General Laborer / Maintenance Helpers to support our make-ready and repair crews in the field.
This is hands-on outdoor and indoor labor. Expect trash-outs, digging, hauling, paint prep, and yard and limb cleanup — real physical work in Texas heat, year-round. You will work alongside experienced techs and plumbers, and you will learn the trades by doing them. No experience is required; showing up on time every day is required.
You report directly to job sites across the DFW Metroplex.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn a trade.
What You Will Do
- Trash-outs and debris hauling — clearing units, loading trailers, dump runs
- Hand digging and trenching for plumbing and drain repairs, plus backfill and cleanup
- Assisting with water heater removals and installs — hauling, staging, and holding
- Paint prep — masking, taping, caulking, patching, sanding, and cleanup
- Yard cleanup, brush clearing, and limb and tree cutting
- Loading, unloading, and staging materials and tools at job sites
- Keep job sites clean and organized
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to perform heavy physical labor — lifting 50+ lbs, digging, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in Texas heat
- Must be reliable and show up on time every day
- Must follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen — drug-free workplace
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be willing to be registered as a plumber's apprentice with the State of Texas (we handle the paperwork and the cost)
- Basic labor or construction experience preferred (not required)

- You are looking for 1099 or side work — this is a full-time W-2 position
Compensation & Growth
- $17.00 per hour — flat starting rate, same for everyone
- W-2 employment — taxes withheld, steady paycheck, year-round work (not 1099)
- Helpers who learn the work and prove reliable move up into skilled make-ready, paint, and plumbing helper roles with higher pay
