Job Overview
We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable Commercial Sales Representative to join our deep foundation team. This role focuses on building relationships with general contractors, engineers, and developers while providing expert solutions in helical piles, drilled shafts, micropiles, shoring systems, and specialty foundation work.
The ideal candidate has a background in construction or geotechnical services, understands the challenges of complex soil conditions, and can translate technical details into practical, value-driven proposals. Responsibilities include generating new business, managing key accounts, estimating with our engineering team, and overseeing projects from initial inquiry to contract award.
This is a high-impact role for someone who understands the construction world, communicates confidently, and thrives on helping clients succeed with the right foundation system.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Relations
- Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, and public works markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with GCs, engineers, architects, and developers.
- Conduct jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, and engineering discussions to understand project needs.
- Maintain a consistent outreach strategy through calls, site visits, networking events, and industry associations.
Technical Sales & Project Support
- Evaluate plans, soil reports, and project requirements to recommend appropriate foundation systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and estimating teams to prepare proposals, budgets, and value-engineered solutions.
- Present foundation options such as helical piles, drilled shafts, micropiles, ground anchors, and shoring systems.
- Support clients through the entire sales cycle—from initial inquiry to contract execution.
Estimating & Proposal Development
- Review geotechnical data, structural drawings, and site constraints to develop accurate pricing.
- Prepare clear, professional bids and coordinate with internal teams to meet deadlines.
- Track bid results and follow up to secure awarded projects.
Market Knowledge & Strategy
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regional opportunities.
- Help shape sales strategies to expand market share and brand awareness.
- Participate in marketing initiatives, trade shows, and presentations.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in construction, geotechnical work, deep foundations, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and bid environments.
- Ability to interpret drawings, soils reports, and technical designs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites and client meetings
- Background in civil engineering, construction management, or geotechnical sales.
- Experience with foundation systems such as helicals, micropiles, drilled shafts, or shoring.
- Existing industry contacts and knowledge of local contractor networks.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
