Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivilant

Valid NJ Commercial Drivers License (CDL) in good standing, Class B
Work Hours: As Assigned Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift, transfer, move, assist participants (minimum of 40 pounds).

Ability to maneuver and tie down wheelchairs.

May be required to provide direct support services inside a CPL facility or as assigned in a community setting.
Overall Description:
- To safely transport all Participants, as assigned, in accordance with all CPL policies and DMV regulations.
Responsibilities:

Maintain and safeguard each family/participant’s right to privacy, respect and confidentiality.

Ensure vehicle is in safe running order at all times.
- Comply with all protocols as stated in the CPL Transportation Handbook.

Ensure safe pickup and drop-off of each participant.

Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
- Accurately maintain mileage logs of the assigned vehicle.

Oversee the Driver Assistant to the assure safety and proper care of all assigned participants.

Assist participants in program areas as directed.
