Overview
This position leads a dedicated team of Fixture Purchasing Agents through the full procurement lifecycle of retail fixtures, signage, and associated materials for a broad range of Store Projects, including new store openings, remodels, capacity expansions, and special initiatives.
In this role, you will provide hands-on leadership across vendor management, procurement strategy, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring that all fixtures are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with established quality standards. You will be accountable for optimizing purchasing workflows, resolving escalated vendor or fixture-related issues, and keeping procurement activities tightly aligned with overall project timelines and milestones.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Fixture Purchasing, this position plays an integral role in driving cost-effective, efficient procurement through strategic planning, data-driven analysis, proactive risk management, and ongoing team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and develop a team of Fixture Purchasing Agents to ensure all purchasing activities are executed accurately and on time.
- Champion purchasing strategy and continuous improvement efforts to drive cost savings, shorten lead times, and strengthen vendor performance.
- Establish and maintain clear communication frameworks with cross-functional stakeholders, including Store Planning, Execution, Finance, and Store Operations, to synchronize procurement timelines with project milestones.
- Oversee the full purchasing cycle, including PO execution, cost control, invoice reconciliation, and delivery tracking, to maintain an accurate and efficient flow of materials from order to delivery.
- Cultivate and manage vendor relationships; address and resolve escalated issues and ensure vendor performance supports project objectives, mitigating risk and improving overall outcomes.
- Monitor and report on purchasing metrics, budget variances, and delivery status; collaborate with Fixture Planning to maintain accurate fixture inventory management using PeopleSoft, Excel, and related tools.
- Review and approve purchase orders, quotes, and invoice reconciliations as needed; ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and established budget guidelines.
- Facilitate weekly team meetings to review progress updates, share lessons learned, and address shifting project priorities or resource needs.
- Partner with Store Planning and Fixture Design teams to align fixture specifications with the latest prototype standards and design updates.
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, training resources, and operational tools that streamline procurement processes across the team.
- Mentor and coach team members; identify development opportunities and deliver ongoing feedback to support professional growth and sustained performance excellence.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, retail operations, project management, or a closely related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Moderate-level competency in budgeting and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook; working knowledge of the broader Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position is primarily office-based and computer-centric, with day-to-day responsibilities requiring sitting, standing, walking, telephone use, participation in in-person meetings, typing, and handling both paper and digital files. Consistent attendance and punctuality are expected. Vision requirements include the ability to read both printed and electronic materials.
Regular in-office presence is required to support team collaboration, meetings, mentoring, coaching, and client engagement. A hybrid arrangement combining in-office and remote work is available for this role.
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
