Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Hyannis, MA
Job Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Perform comprehensive physical, psychological, and social assessments
- Develop and update individualized patient care plans
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and nursing documentation
- Function as Charge Nurse when assigned
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and new team members
- Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and blood/body fluid protocols
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain patient confidentiality and deliver exceptional patient-centered care
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience required
- Minimum 1 year of ER travel nursing experience required
- Strong emergency patient assessment and triage experience
- Experience with ventilator care
- Experience with telemetry monitoring
Preferred Certifications:
- TNCC
- ENPC
- PALS
- Approved De-escalation Certification
