Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly and energetic demeanor, making them feel valued from the moment they arrive
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems to optimize seating flow
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant offerings
- Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area to uphold high standards of hospitality
- Support guest needs throughout their visit, ensuring a memorable experience that encourages repeat visits
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, especially within restaurant or hotel environments
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in hospitality, serving, or guest services enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices is desirable
