Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy techniques and a passion for patient care. In this role, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, supporting patient recovery across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facilities. Your expertise will contribute to improving mobility, reducing pain, and promoting overall well-being for diverse patient populations.
Duties
- Assist physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and modalities to facilitate healing.
- Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition back to home or other care settings.
- Provide patient education on exercises, injury prevention, and self-care strategies to promote ongoing recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery across inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments.
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment while adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience working in inpatient or skilled nursing facility settings is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and care planning processes relevant to physiotherapy practice.
- Experience with geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and outpatient clinics is preferred.
- Familiarity with discharge planning procedures and acute care protocols will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
- Previous involvement in home health services or outpatient clinics will be considered an asset.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
