Position Overview
We are currently hiring FLEX Armed Security Guards to join our growing team. This role is ideal for dependable, professional, and experienced armed security professionals who value a flexible work schedule.
As a FLEX Armed Security Guard, you'll have access to available shifts through our scheduling portal, allowing you to pick up open assignments that fit your availability. Guards may work at a variety of locations throughout the Minneapolis metro area, including commercial properties, residential buildings, retail locations, and patrol assignments.
Whether you're looking for supplemental income or a flexible schedule, this position provides opportunities to work a variety of assignments while gaining additional experience in the security field.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a highly visible and professional armed security presence
- Patrol assigned properties and locations
- Monitor for suspicious activity, security threats, and safety concerns
- Enforce property rules, policies, and post orders
- Respond appropriately to security incidents and emergencies
- Exercise sound judgment and professionalism in high-pressure situations
- Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift notes
- Communicate professionally with residents, staff, clients, visitors, and law enforcement when appropriate
- Maintain proper care, control, and accountability of issued or authorized equipment
- Follow all company policies, procedures, post orders, and applicable laws
- Accept and manage available shifts through the Connecteam app
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must possess a valid Minnesota Permit to Carry a Pistol
- Must have previous armed security guard experience
- Must possess current armed security guard training/certification
- Must have current CPR certification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment under pressure
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual
- Comfortable working independently at various locations
- Must have a smartphone capable of accessing the scheduling and communication app
- Must have reliable transportation to assigned job sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional security, law enforcement, military, or patrol experience
- Current First Aid certification
- Experience working armed security assignments
- Experience writing detailed security and incident reports
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills
- Experience working residential, commercial, retail, or industrial security assignments
Schedule
- Flexible, on-demand scheduling
- Pick up available shifts through the scheduling app
- Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be available
- No guaranteed minimum hours; work based on your availability and open shift opportunities
- Opportunities may be available for advancement into regular full-time or part-time positions
Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience, qualifications, and assignment

Work Environment
Assignments may include:
- Commercial properties

- Industrial properties
- Patrol assignments
- Other client locations throughout the Minneapolis metro area
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a company background check
- Must maintain all required armed security credentials, licenses, permits, and certifications
- Must maintain a valid Minnesota Permit to Carry a Pistol throughout employment
- Must maintain current armed security guard training/certification
- Must maintain current CPR certification
- Must complete all required in-person company training
- Must follow all company policies, procedures, post orders, and applicable laws
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be willing to travel to assigned job sites within the company's service area
- Must be able to safely and professionally perform the essential functions of an armed security position
