Hours: Part-time 20+ hours

Key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Interact with coworkers, participants, volunteers, and community partners in a respectful and professional manner
- Provide pickup and delivery transportation, donation coordination; identify delivery and delay windows
- Regularly loading, unloading, sorting, stocking, and arranging inventory
- Routine checking and completion of temperature, receiving, and cleaning logs in accordance with health and partner agency standards
- Work closely with Food Bank Coordinator to efficiently provide Service of Excellence to Food Bank participants
- Product tracking, including freshness of incoming donations and waste reduction and management (inventory control and accountability) (applying FIFO practices)
- Supervise, engage, support, and direct volunteers in the warehouse
- Assist participants by providing direction, in-take, and CalFresh services
- Answer office telephones and voicemail to communicate information to callers
- Maintain warehouse safety standards, and immediately report any damages, safety hazards, or repairs needed to supervisor
- Maintain records/inventory/participation logs (food and office supply inventory, incident reports, participants log(s))
- Safe and efficient driving of agency vehicles
- Monitor safety and security of facility, staff, volunteers, and participants, including exterior areas
- Follow protocol in response to medical emergencies
- Assist other program staff as needed
- Other duties that may be assigned

- California driver’s license, agency auto insurability, full range of peripheral vision to drive an agency vehicle
Sensory and Physical Requirements: Position requires that staff stay awake and alert for the whole shift. While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for an hour or more, bend at the waist frequently and use hands, speak, and hear and push, pull, move, or lift above and below the neck objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
Additional Position Requirements: Employer is required to obtain documentation for I-9 certification. CPR/1st Aid certification, Food Handlers Certification, and forklift training can be provided on the job. This position requires a preemployment physical and drug and alcohol screening.
