Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Clinical Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.
This is a cross-trained position with a rotating schedule of responsibilities between the front desk and clinical areas of the practice. Team members will rotate between front-office and clinical assignments, including patient check-in, scheduling, insurance verification, taking vital signs, assisting providers, preparing exam and procedure rooms, and supporting X-ray and imaging workflow.
Training is provided for qualified candidates. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your healthcare skills, gain experience in multiple areas of outpatient care, and work closely with an experienced healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Answer phones and assist with scheduling, messages, faxes, and emails
- Verify insurance information and collect applicable patient payments
- Update patient demographics and prepare charts and medical records
- Take vital signs and document basic patient history
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures
- Prepare, clean, and maintain exam and procedure rooms
- Assist with X-ray and imaging workflow as permitted by training, clinic protocols, and applicable requirements
- Maintain medical and office supplies
- Assist with administrative and billing-related tasks as needed
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic safety and compliance standards
- Provide professional and compassionate communication throughout the patient's visit
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- BLS certification is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working with computers; EMR experience preferred
- Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Nursing students are welcome to apply
- Spanish or additional language skills are a plus
- Strong verbal communication skills for patient interactions and telephone communication
- Must successfully complete required background and drug screening
- Previous spine, pain management, or image-guided procedure experience is a plus, but training will be provided
Schedule
Part-Time: 3–3.5 days per week
No weekends

Eligible employees may receive performance-based pay increases and bonuses based on successful training, cross-training, reliability, performance, additional responsibilities, and length of service.
