Job Summary :
Zajac is a Liquid Processing company specializing in high purity stainless piping systems in the food, beverage, and pharma companies. We are seeking a skilled, hardworking Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding components according to specifications and blueprints. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to work with various materials. The Welder/Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.
Duties :
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Utilize welding techniques to fabricate components, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Employ basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for precise fabrication.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Experience:
- Extensive hands-on expertise in welding and fitting, with a strong command of various welding techniques.
- Preferred familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Skilled in precision measurement
- Highly detail-oriented, with a steadfast commitment to producing high-quality work.
Welding Certifications & Experience:
- GMAW: AWS D1.6 SS Plate (3/16”, 3G/4G)
- GTAW: AL6XN Manual/Orbital
- GTAW AWS D1.6: w/Filler SS Plate
- GTAW Orbital
- GTAW Manual: SS Tube (.065)
Requirements:
- Must be able to travel out of state 4-10 days at a time.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record is a must.
- Must live in Maine.
- Must have reliable transportation to get themselves to the shop on Monday mornings for 6am.
