DSM Radon is hiring a full-time Radon Mitigation Technician. This is a hands-on trades position installing residential radon mitigation systems in the Des Moines metro.
We are looking for someone with real field experience in radon mitigation, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, construction, remodeling, concrete, waterproofing, or another skilled trade.
This is not an entry-level general labor job. Applicants must already know how to use tools, work on jobsites, follow directions, and complete clean, professional work.
Job Duties:
- Install radon mitigation systems in homes
- Run PVC pipe through basements, garages, attics, crawlspaces, and exterior areas
- Drill concrete and create suction points
- Seal sump lids, cracks, and foundation openings
- Mount radon fans and system parts
- Use ladders, drills, saws, hand tools, and power tools safely
- Keep jobsites clean
- Communicate professionally with homeowners
- Follow company installation and safety standards
Requirements:
- Prior experience in radon, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, construction, remodeling, concrete, waterproofing, or another skilled trade
- Comfortable using tools every day
- Able to lift 50+ lbs
- Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, basements, garages, and outdoors
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work without constant supervision
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, daytime hours. Occasional longer days depending on the job.
