Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds, to deliver materials and equipment efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in heavy lifting, load and unload procedures, and mechanical knowledge will ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery. Duties
- Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as front loaders, rear loaders, or roll-off containers
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Transport goods to designated locations efficiently while maintaining timely delivery schedules
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, utilizing mechanical knowledge of trucks like dump trucks and flatbeds
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for different truck types ( Class A )
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with delivery driver responsibilities involving heavy lifting and load handling
- Familiarity with operating various trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds
- Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of heavy-duty trucks
- Experience in load & unload procedures ensuring safety and efficiency during material handling
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations
