Ludger’s Bavarian Cakery is a locally owned bakery café looking for a dependable kitchen team member to help prepare and serve our breakfast and lunch menu.
This is an active, hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying busy and takes pride in preparing great food. You’ll work alongside a supportive team to keep the kitchen running smoothly—from daily prep and food service to cleaning and closing tasks.
We’re looking for more than kitchen experience. We want someone who is reliable, works with a sense of urgency, follows recipes and procedures consistently, and is willing to help wherever needed.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare breakfast and lunch items accurately and efficiently
- Cook and assemble orders during café service
- Complete daily food preparation and restocking
- Read and follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and food-safety procedures
- Keep the food line clean, stocked, and organized
- Assist with dishes, cleaning, and kitchen closing duties
- Run food and support other areas of the café when needed
- Work with the team to keep orders moving during busy periods
What We’re Looking For
- Dependable and ready to work each scheduled shift
- Able to work quickly without sacrificing quality or accuracy
- Comfortable staying productive throughout the shift
- Willing to clean, restock, and help with all kitchen responsibilities
- Positive, respectful, and team-oriented
- Able to follow instructions and accept feedback
- Kitchen or food-service experience is helpful, but we’re willing to train the right person
