Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and preparation of construction sites, including measuring and marking fence lines according to plans.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and assemble fencing materials such as wood, metal, or vinyl.
- Support the installation of fence posts, panels, gates, and related components following technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks to move building materials and fencing components into place efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols for power tool operation, welding, concrete forming, masonry, and other construction activities.
- Interpret construction plans and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement and alignment of fences.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly during projects.
Qualifications
- Prior construction experience or familiarity with carpentry, frame carpentry, or masonry is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience with fence construction projects or landscape maintenance is a plus.
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Knowledge of interpreting technical drawings and following detailed construction plans.
- Understanding of power tool safety standards and proper handling techniques.
- Previous experience working on construction sites or with concrete forming and finishing is beneficial.
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in hardscape installation or masonry work.
