Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Contract Telehealth Therapist (LCSW or LMHC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy services through telehealth platforms, ensuring accessible and compassionate care for diverse populations. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering individual or group therapy sessions to promote mental wellness and resilience.
Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately document patient conditions.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focusing on mental health issues such as PTSD, grief, addiction, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and gender issues counseling.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and psychotherapeutic techniques tailored to client needs.
- Utilize motivational interviewing and crisis intervention strategies to support clients during acute episodes or emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical documentation and accurate medical records while managing caseloads efficiently through case management practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on inpatient or outpatient settings to coordinate patient care plans and monitor progress.
- Engage in clinical research or data collection efforts to enhance treatment efficacy and contribute to ongoing mental health studies.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral management, and crisis management.
- Proficiency in working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9 and ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards.
- Skilled in crisis intervention techniques, trauma-informed care including PTSD care, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and gender issues counseling.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver telehealth services effectively with experience using telehealth platforms; familiarity with HIPAA regulations is essential.
- Capable of conducting diagnostic evaluations using DSM criteria; experience with special education or pediatric populations is a plus.
- Excellent case management skills with the ability to handle complex patient needs through direct support and clinical counseling approaches.
