Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension, and other key components.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
- Repair and service diesel engines, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Execute wheel alignments, ADAS calibrations, and vehicle maintenance tasks to optimize vehicle performance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs with precision.
- Maintain detailed records of all service work performed and communicate clearly with customers about repairs needed or completed.
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive service experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes.
- Expertise in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and powertrain components.
- Knowledge of ADAS technology, schematics reading, and electronic troubleshooting techniques.
- Skilled in diesel engine repair and auto body repair techniques as needed.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; experience with vehicle maintenance routines is essential.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients while explaining repairs clearly.
