Job Overview
New Day Treatment Center is hiring Mental Health Clinicians to provide outpatient and community-based behavioral health and substance use services throughout Far Rockaway, Queens, and Long Island.
We are seeking LMSWs, LMHCs, MHC-LPs, LCSWs, and CASACs who are client-focused, organized, and comfortable working in clinic, field, and/or telehealth settings. Spanish-speaking clinicians strongly encouraged to apply.
Available Clinical Roles
Community-Based / Field Clinician
- Provide individual therapy in homes, shelters, schools, and community settings
- Flexible schedule and independent field work
- Ideal for outreach-oriented clinicians
On-Site Outpatient Clinician
- Provide individual and group therapy in a clinic setting
- Consistent schedule with on-site supervision and support
- Ideal for clinicians who prefer structured outpatient work
Telehealth options available based on role and program needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy (field or clinic-based)
- Facilitate group therapy (on-site roles)
- Complete assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Engage clients using trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
- Coordinate care with supervisors, peers, and support staff
- Participate in supervision and team meetings
Qualifications
- Required credentials (one or more):
- LMSW, LCSW
- LMHC, MHC, MHC-LP
- CASAC or CASAC-T
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience (mental health and/or substance use)
- Strong documentation and engagement skills
- Comfortable working in outpatient and/or community settings
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Experience with substance use, trauma, or psychopharmacology a plus
