Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
- Support patient transfer methods utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both patients and staff
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or memory impairments by implementing appropriate memory care strategies
- Administer medications as directed by nursing staff following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety and confidentiality
- Assist in medical procedures such as phlebotomy or catheter care under supervision in clinical or hospital settings
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient service and care continuity
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and basic life support (CPR) certification
- Prior experience in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), hospice care, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling protocols
- Strong caregiver communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service and caregiving duties
