Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing support and crisis services to individuals receiving care at our Rural Crisis Center in Covington County to be relocated to Brantley, AL in Crenshaw County. This position operates within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, focusing on timely access to crisis care, stabilization, person-centered treatment, and coordination of services for individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies. Experience working in mental health is preferred. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Successful completion of an LPN program with current licensure through the Alabama Board of Nursing

Relevant nursing experience required; behavioral health or crisis services experience preferred

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced crisis setting

Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills

Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Must successfully pass a background check
Responsibilities:
-
Provide nursing care and support for individuals receiving services in the Rural Crisis Center

Conduct nursing assessments, monitor consumer health status, and document clinical findings

Administer medications and treatments as directed by physician orders

Provide education, training, testing, monitoring, evaluation, and updates for all MAC/MAS staff and nursing personnel

Support crisis stabilization efforts and assist with coordination of care within the CCBHC care model

Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to promote recovery-focused, person-centered care

Help maintain a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment for consumers in crisis
Work Environment:

Work directly with individuals experiencing behavioral health crises in a rural crisis center setting

Support immediate stabilization, treatment access, and continuity of care for underserved rural communities

Engage in meaningful work that improves outcomes for individuals with mental health and substance use needs
ALL candidates must be able to type and have basic computer skills, possess a valid driver’s license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance with a clear background check.
