Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes, drinks, and specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery.
- Upsell menu items including wine, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Manage cash transactions accurately through POS systems like OpenTable or other sales transaction processing tools.
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations throughout your shift.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Experience with fine dining environments or culinary roles enhances your ability to excel in this position.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while providing attentive service.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that creates memorable guest experiences.
- Basic math skills for handling cash, processing payments accurately, and managing sales transactions.
- Food safety certification or training in sanitation practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
