As we continue to grow across Oklahoma, we are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Inventory Control Manager to join our leadership team and take full ownership of our inventory operations across both locations.
Position Overview
The Inventory Control Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of Fence OKC's and Vector Fence inventory from procurement and storage to tracking, reporting, and optimization. This individual will have full ownership of inventory operations and will work closely with the COO and CFO to deliver accurate, timely reporting and strategic insights. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, process-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Ownership & Management
- Take full ownership of all Fence OKC inventory, including materials, supplies, equipment, and finished goods
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records across all locations and job sites
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy
- Establish and enforce inventory control policies and procedures company-wide
- Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to manage stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock situations
Reporting & Financial Accountability
- Provide comprehensive inventory reports to the COO and CFO on a regular and ad hoc basis
- Track inventory costs, variances, and losses and present findings with actionable recommendations
- Develop and maintain dashboards and summary reports to support executive decision-making
- Collaborate with the CFO to align inventory valuations with financial reporting requirements
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through improved inventory management practices
Technology Implementation & Optimization
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new inventory management technologies and software solutions
- Lead the rollout and adoption of new systems, including training staff and ensuring successful integration
- Continuously improve inventory processes by leveraging technology and data analytics
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in inventory management and supply chain technology
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on inventory systems and tools
Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or a related operations role
- Proven ability to implement and manage inventory management software and technology solutions
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in Excel or similar data tools
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to executive leadership
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of a department
Preferred:
- Experience in the construction, fencing, or building materials industry
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Fishbowl, inFlow, or similar)
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience managing inventory across multiple job sites or locations
