American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Ortho/Spine travel assignment in Chattanooga, TN, requiring a strong orthopedic background and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Work in the 5 East Ortho/Spine unit of a hospital setting with 26 beds
-
Patient population includes post-operative knee and hip replacement and multi-level spine surgery patients
-
Patient ratio of 6:1
-
Unit is supported by unit secretaries, PCTs, and a navigator
-
Equipment used includes coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs
-
Documents in Meditech EMR
-
Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
-
4 weekend shifts required per schedule block
-
Floating required on a rotation basis
-
13-week contract
-
Active RN license — TN or Compact license required

Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Med/Surg or Orthopedics

Strong orthopedic nursing background required

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

Provide post-operative nursing care to orthopedic and spine surgery patients

Navy scrubs required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
